पुरस्कार ग्रहर्ण गर्दै साहित्यकार राई (सौजन्य: प्रकाश आङ्दाम्बे)

साहित्यप्रेमी भूटानी युवाहरूबाट गठित झकास समूहले वार्षिक रूपमा प्रदान गर्दै आएको यो वर्षको ‘झकास अन्तराष्ट्रिय पुरस्कार’ भारतीय साहित्यकार विमल राईलाई प्रदान गरेको छ ।

पुरस्कार गत आइतबार झापाको दमकमा आयोजना गरिएको एउटा कार्यक्रममाझ साहित्यकार गणेश रसिक, संगीतकार मणीकमल क्षेत्री र गीतकार एलपी जोसीबाट संयुक्त रूपमा साहित्यकार राईलाई प्रदान गरिएको हो ।

ताम्रपत्र र १६ हजार रूपैयाँको सो पुरस्कार सन् २०१० बाट झकास समूहले प्रदान गर्दै आएको छ । उक्त पुरस्कारबाट साहित्यकारहरू याम थुलुङ र प्रकाश आङ्दाम्वे क्रमश सन् २०१० र २०११ मा सम्मानित भइसकेका छन् ।
“तपाईहरूको माया मात्र भए पुग्छ, मलाई नगद रकमको कुनै आवश्यकता छैन,” भन्दै राईले आफूले पाएको १६ हजार रूपैयाँ सृजनशील कामका लागि झकास समूहलाई नै फिर्ता गरेका थिए ।

An  awareness rally on fire safety was organized on the inauguration day of Eastern Regional Volleyball Tournament. Dozens from camp school, camp management committee, representatives from various agencies, children forum and Armed Police Force (APF), among others took part in a rally held to inform the exiled community about safety measures of fire and its disasters.

Media Network Bhutan(MNB) has declared the best photo award November and December in camps.

According to the General Executive of MNB, Mona Rath Pokhrel, for November month Dilan Samal was declared as the winner on theme, “God’s village”. Likewise, for the month of December 2011 Shanti Sunuwar was awarded as winner on the theme “Beauty of God in flower” a portrait photograph.

The theme for January 2012 is shared that is “Motion of Human Being”, a landscape photo and the last date for the submission of photograph is 15th February 2012; it is to be sent to medianetworkbhutan@gmail.com.

Media Bhutan Network conducted Photo exibition in Bhutanese refugee camp school Tri-Ratna Secondary School. About all Bhutanese refugee students, teachers and other Bhutanese visited those photos and comments as good work which really reflects the situation of Bhutanese refugees camp.

According to Monarath Pokhrel( President of MNB) that MNB is  also planning to conduct this exhibition again in Ration stores of Beldangi-II and Extn.

United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) completes relocating the refugees from Timai with the cordination of Nepal Government and Lutheran World Federation (LWF) at Beldangi.

According to Dhan Bir Subba, Camp Secretary of Beldangi 885 huts are relocated at Beldangi where few number of huts are relocated at Pathri Camp situated at Morang-Nepal. The relocation programme was conducted in order to merge the refugees from different camps into a single one.

According to Subba, the relocation was started by the concerned agencies starting from 21/11/2011 and the relocation was completed on 5th  of  January 2012 were  all of the refugees from Timai are relocated happily in Beldangi. View full article »

At least four exiled women, who have been on the ongoing fast-unto-death since Tuesday, are under medical observation in the camp-based health center. They have already completed 75 hours of fast to death, Friday afternoon.

Those under medical supervision included Indira Bhattarai (25), Chandra Maya Khadka (37), Indra Kala Bhandari (25) and Radhikar Poudel (22), informed an AMDA representative.

Meanwhile, Renuka Mongar (27), whose blood-sugar level has fallen extremely low, has been admitted in AMDA Hospital, Damak.

Almost all in the hunger strike are getting support even while going to toilet, said Durga Devi Bista, who has been leading the women team.

 Durga Devi Bista, who has been leading 15-member team on the ongoing fast-unto-death since Tuesday, told government representatives and rights activists Thursday that her group has demanded “refugee status, not the Nepali citizenship.”

10 out of 15 hunger strikers have fallen sick as the ongoing fast-unto-death turns into the third day, Thursday. Of them, four are reportedly serious. View full article »
