English is the only language which is widely spoken all over the world. English
language is a common language and is spoken in many countries as well. So it is considered as a universal language. It has gained its popularity all over the countries in the world on which most of the universities in the world include English as one of their major subject. We are living in the world of globalization, so English is also often used as the official languages almost allover the countries in the world. So English language has a great importance in the world’s globalization.
As we know that, we are at the twenty first century, in the competitive world, so we should be well known about the English language, because English is the foremost criteria whether you are applying for a job or you are seeking admission in an A-level or reputed college,university or institution. Even companies and organizations welcome those type of candidates on their organization, who are fluent English and have the relevant qualification in English and those without the above qualification is rejected. So, in every institution or every job field, English is very important language, that a person should possess. Without the knowledge of it a person may be unemployed in the greater institution or offices from low to high standard. So we all should have the knowledge of English.
As English is a language, its not hard to learn it, one have the knowledge of English simply if one possesses interest in him. Its also important for us to learn English so following points may be useful for you to learn English:- Read cartoons or jokes in English.Write your personal diary such as: what did you do in the entire day? Or what you’re going to do tomorrow? etc.
Listen to news, Try to talk in English with your friends, so that you can talk in fluently. and reading, writing many stories, poems, essays may be helpful for you to learn to speak a good English.
At last, I would like to say that you should not get scared or loose confidence when it comes to English language. It is just that you should try and find an institute who has the right techniques to teach English speaking course to their students along with personality development program and interview techniques. So having the knowledge of English language, I hope you will gain confidence which may be helpful in every step of your life.

What an interesting contribution! I wish the author well, but I am not sure that English is as widespread or useful as people claim.
I would like to argue the case for Esperanto as the international language. It is a planned language which belongs to no one country or group of states.

I agree with Mr Chapman. We should not overestimate the position of English.
I live in London and if anyone says to me “everyone speaks English” my answer is “Listen and look around you”. If people in London do not speak English then the whole question of a global language is completely open.
The promulgation of English as the world’s “lingua franca” is impractical and linguistically undemocratic. I say this as a native English speaker!
Impractical because communication should be for all and not only for an educational or political elite. That is how English is used internationally at the moment.
Undemocratic because minority languages are under attack worldwide due to the encroachment of majority ethnic languages. Even Mandarin Chinese is attempting to dominate as well. The long-term solution must be found and a non-national language, which places all ethnic languages on an equal footing is essential.
As a native English speaker, my vote is for Esperanto

i think english language plays a vital role in our lives. if we have command over english we can travel across the globe. we can exchange our thoughts with almost every people from all over the globe.
